What the frick!? It's been forever since I've posted anything on this site. And since I really am starting to hate FACEBOOK. I think using this blog as an outlet for my own skewed view on things So what the hell, I can rant and share fun links and people can take it or leave it.

There you go.. hmm what to chat about. Well I've really grown my freelance business this year and it's been really lucrative for me. To the point where I'm going to have to get a business license. hmm hmm. That seems more of a stress for me than a boon, but we'll see what all the in's and out's are and try and come out on top.

Stephen King gets on the old REBOOT bandwagon...

I know you've heard the term, 'REBOOT' and it used to mean restart your computer, but now it's synonymous with what appears to be cash grabs by movie studios. With Most of the people that were around when classic films were made getting older. Studios have started to re-make films, these reboots allow the studios to get a new audience hooked on whatever franchise they can bastardize.

just recently it was announced that FIRESTARTER and MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE would get remade. really? we need to remake these films? there isn't an orginal script out there somewhere that should be brought to the big screen. Whatever happened to 'its been done' are there no original idea's out there any more?

But its not just older films that are preying victim to the ol 'reboot' why just earlier this year Spiderman it was announced that spiderman would get the ol reboot. That film is only a few years old? whats the deal? if they start rebooting reboots we'll need to start a civil revolt, because that's just going to far.

Well it's a new year and a new post... about time huh... I've had a lot of things happen since the 9th of Nov. I'm officially a member of the Dad club! yup I got me a tiny chip off the ol block as it were. Ayden was born on Nov 13th, a wee bit early as his due date was Feb 25th 2009. But I was happy to see him regardless, he was sent to a special hospital for sick kids about an hour away from where I live. And is still there. Ya he's had a heck of an adventure so far - but he's still truckin'. His cousins have called him A-train because he just continues to go.

Other wise Exotique is out now, my painting is on page 82. And I was requested to submit for another book. So I'll have to get something together for that. I'm excited tho'

Well I'll try and keep the posts a little more frequent from here on in.

So now that you've read that I got a great idea for a sci-fi film.. what if.. just what if the civilization that was on mars knew that it was gonna be over... that the world was ending... so they said where can we go? so they looked around at all the planets and said Earth isn't so bad.. it's relatively close.. why not go there.. yeah we'll bring along what we can and we'll start over there.. so they started sending all sorts of water, and animals and whatever like the "ARK" from the bible.. and brought everything to earth... and they're first city was called Atlantis.. and then like just to rub salt in the wound so to speak... nature hurtles a giant asteroid at the planet and wipes out atlantis.. then the children of the survivors.. or even the other life that was there.. started over millions of years to evolve itself.. till we got where we are today lookin in on mars not knowing that really that's home... whoa.... that's heavy....

After the Debate

So last night the Canadian candidates decided to have a debate. So I thought hmmm I had better sit in on this and see what happens... Mr Conservative... in the time I watched.. sat there and took it like a defensless kid on the playground takes the abuse from bullies... he couldn't look any of them in the eye's and it's a wonder how someone who comes off as such a coward could run this country.

Jack layton was as my friend put it.. MR Commercial. The whole time he sounded like a commercial for himself. sigh...

Mr Liberal Stephan, actually started to make some sense.. and I don't think his idea's are all so bad now.. .however.. I can't picture him being the strong force in politics that we need.

So the member that I was most impressed with was May, leader of the Green Party... she knew all her facts... she was very intelligent and was a take no crap kinda gal. I'd be very pleased to have her in office.. I think things would go very well.

but that's my two cents.

Oh Woop Another Election...

So, it's another election here in Canada... seems like these happen every other month around here... the circles I'm in have really stopped talkin' about government issues. They've gone and screwed everything up... And yet we the Canadian people seem to sit on the wayside and take it. Granted not everyone does.. but a majority of us do.

But really what are our choices.. You've got Harper and the conservatives.. who seems to be the only vote I can negotiate in my head. As the guy had the balls to say - Hey this isn't working lets sort this out.

Then there's Jack Layton and the NDP - this guy creeps me out... he's like that smarmy guy you'd see at bar hittin' on your sister. His idea's don't seem thought through.. How this man is still in power is beyond me.

But then you got the Liberal guy Stephan... this guy absolutely infuriates me. His idea's are absolutely retarded and if I were a liberal I'd have lynched him outta office a long time ago... what happened to the suave smooth talking Liberal leaders of the past.. this beady eye rodentesque guy just wigs me out. And his idea's... carbon tax? not to mention he never agrees with stuff in the House.. and always seems at the heart of resistance with the current government.

I'd vote the green party but I can't help but feel my vote would be wasted... because they never get in...well I think they had one guy.

So I really don't want to vote for any of them.. So I'm now stuck trying to pick the guy that I think can do the least amount of Damage. This is sad people... Were I fluent in French I'd run for office myself. And try and sort all this crap out... We're CANADA!!!! True North Strong and Free... or at least we were... now we're just misguided and unorganized. Our Government is a joke, and a cruel one at that. But what to do... what can we do... unless Leadership steps up that we can agree upon nothing. So, that means one you out there... yeah you. Needs to drop what your doing and go to Ottawa and straighten this out. I know there's someone out there in this great country who can do it. Make Canada a force to be reckoned with.

5 things I'd do If I were Prime Minister...

I'd rule this country with a strong fair hand. I'd sort out all this crap going on and focus our needs back where they should be within Canada.

1. If your on welfare you have to submit a predetermined amount of volunteer hours each month to get your check... Sure the country will help you out, but we all must do our part.

2. We'd bring our military up to speed... let these brave souls who are willing to put there lives on the line at least have the very best tech to protect both them and us.

3. Our Environment must come first... The people of Canada must realize that we cannot survive without a place to live. And right now our living space is in jeopardy.

4. We need to send a clear message to those who commit crimes, that the rest of us do not tolerate it. Harsher punishments. And More law enforcement officers I see people breaking the law all the time.. mainly Bylaws and there's never anyone around to enforce it. We need to get weapons off the street. The only person who should have a firearm is a police officer or Military personnel. If your a hunter you may own a hunting "class" weapon with the proper permits. And a ballistic record from your weapon will be kept on file. Being caught with a weapon = instant Jail time.

5. I think that if your a teen age mother and want to better yourself so that your not a detriment to the country. To get a better job so you can become independent. That provided you can keep a predetermined grade point average the government will aide you financially with a loan for school and paying for credited daycare. This program would essentially help the parent so they can create a life were they wont be a burden to society. The way daycare would work is that a credited business would bill the government. This way the mother isn't tempted to spend the money for daycare on other things.

Trying to Find Cool Designer Stuff...

So, as you may know from reading my blog I am an artist... My site is linked over there to the right.. yes just there.. and as a creative person I like to have cool creative things around me to inspire me and just plain make life interesting...

As of recently I'm gonna be moving into a new home.. an honest to goodness real house.. not thing fake condo living I've been doing thus far.. granted the Town house served it's purpose - we made some cash off it.. I'm ready to move into a place and settle in..

Thing is I like so many things.. I'm not sure what sort of design theme to go with for the rooms... What I don't want are rooms that don't match and are a mish-mash of "things" for lack of a better term...

I'm really at a loss as far as what direction I should go.. I know I like nice clean design.. furniture with clean lines... of which the closest thing to that is our Poang Ikea chairs.. lol

Well it's been a fun trip - but.. I've managed to sell my house and purchase another.. granted the legalities are still in the works but there's no foreseeable problems. There's a great little community near by made up of a few thousand people named after a city in Germany called Baden Baden, so they names this place Baden.. pronounced.. Bah-den however the Canadian's here call it Bay-den. I'm sure I'll post new images as i go...

In other news.. the website took another big change.. I found that the old design just wasn't funky enough... especially for a website named after my imagination... so

September Days and The Maturing Soul.

Well it's been some time folks but I'm still here... :D Sorry to neglect the blog but I've been getting my house ready to sell.. whew... New sink and faucet in the kitchen... verrry nice.. indeed.. fixed up the bathroom.. new floor/ new toilet... those magic eraser things are awesome for cleaning old tubs.. I mean.. wow it was amazing... I used to have to scrub that thing with OLD DUTCH and a scrub brush.

But finally the house is up for sale... We have our first viewing this sunny Sunday morning... it's certainly a cool one. But that's the way September mornings should be.
After I'm done writing this... I gotta write up my article for a friends Blog.

As always I've added new images to my site... this time its in the photograph gallery... I went on a total Cloud kick for some time... Any one who really knows me - knows how much I love a good cloud. :D

To celebrate my first official publication... I updated my site again.. in hopes of new traffic coming through. I think I'll let it sit for some time... depsite what my wife says.. lol.

I had really thought about the nav at the side there.. and despite the fact that for SEO purposes it works really well.... from a design point of view.. it just really sucked.

Well who knew... I was surfin' a CG site called CG/Society and they had an ad on the site for this book called Exotique, they're currently at Vol. 3. Which is really cool - it's filled with some of the worlds best digital artists. I really suggest you check it out.. well while on the site I saw that they're accepting submissions for the next book... but I had till noon the next day... so I finished the painting that I had been working on.. and submitted it... not thinkin' I'd get in.. I even grabbed another image and submitted it... well.

I got an email... Mr wilhelm you've made it past the first round of submissions.. and i was like.. woo hoo!! how awesome is that..

Well three hours ago I got an email saying that I made it into the book and I'll be on page 80!!!! how friken cool is that!!!! plus everyone that gets in the book get's a book!!!

Well I can now happily display the first image of my child.... here's how we saw the little tike yesterday... wow was it ever cool. The technician doing the ultrasound asked if we wanted to see the heart beating.... and then there it was, it looked like something flittering just two little dots. Then she asked if we wanted to hear it... and through the machine came a super fast thumping...

I guess their heart can beat 130 - 150 beats a minute.. for an Adult that would mean a heart attack or your running a marathon... pertty cool. I colored the above image so i would be easy to discern what was what.

Well well well - the sun has decided to grace us with a few days this summer afterall...

Ah yes, it's a fine day out there... and might I add a great day for getting er.. "Stuff" he he he done.

My wife so is at about 6 weeks pregnant now. So that's exciting... the kicker tho' is makin' sure she doesn't do anything around the house and just takes it easy. Best way to do that is to make sure that all the house work is done...

Picked up a treadmill this weekend... very exciting. Nordic Track. We got a dealy at Sears. got a pretty good deally. So I used it today for a km, and wow it's really cool. It's got a dock in it for ipods, it's got built in speakers...it'll take a built in card for your routines. It's also got a built in fan.

So needless so say I'm pleased with that... I think what I should do is keep a visual diary of my weight loss... I'm totally gung ho about losing weight.

and on that note - I'm gonna go swimming at my mom's, then enjoy some BBQ.

Wow - lots of amazing things have been happening lately. It makes me feel very lucky, for a change. There was a while there were I used to joke that God enjoys having me around so he can pick on me. But in reality I found it difficult to believe in all the bible stuff I learned growing up in Catholic school. Much like the new Bill Maher film here:

It just didn't make sense... Religion still doesn't make sense to me.. However it's really hard not to believe in a higher power when they start answering your prayers.

My wife and I have been trying sooo sooo hard for the past three and a bit years to have a family and due to medical reasons we needed the help of some medical professionals along the way with IVF ($12K can) and then recently IUI ($200.00 can). Our first Dr told us outright... you cannot do IUI (artificial Insemination) and we were like "that sucks because we didn't wanna use our down payment on a new home up" but we knew that we'd do anything for a son or daughter... so.

That whole process turned out to be absolutely horrible. The Karma Center here in K/W, was awful - the nurses could care less who the hell you were... if you were a guy, you were completely treated like you didn't matter. There was no bedside manner and she was always late on her appointments some times a hour or more. The did tests on me to see how my "swimmers" were. I did two tests one cost me $200 out of pocket (a big deal here in CAN). They said I only had 1 million good sperm that the rest didn't make it through the media that they force the sperm to swim through, the process is called a "swim up".

Then we visited the amazing Dr Martin and his team in London, through a referral from our OB. The Soft clinic was amazing!!! the love and support they share for their staff is bar-none the best care you can get. The Dr asked us why we hadn't done IUI yet and we told him that the other Dr, told us outright.. we were not candidates for IUI and that it would be a waste of time. Well he says lets giver' there are a series of drugs etc., (that she never tried) and then we'll start you IUI. I was tested here again for my "swimmers" and boom I made 100 million, and 66 million passed the swim up and went into my wife, that's a big difference from the 1 million the first Doc said I was good for. Our first try... boom she preggers. HOW amazing.. we've only been with him since April. It's a miracle after all we've been through...

Then the other night... for about a week I've been getting all sorts of weird chest pains... a few times I was panic'd because I thought I had a really minor heart attack.. But I kept dismissing it. (the worst thing you can do) Finally my wife now pregnant says go to the hospital. On the Drive there I pleaded with the powers that be, that if they just gave me a chance I'd get myself healthy again.. The Doc's did testing and turns out my heart is as healthy as can be. EKG was perfect, and my blood work showed no signs of heart stress/trauma. Sigh of relief... Now it's my turn to keep my end of the deal.. Gotta get healthy. What's that? what was the pain..? well the Dr's there diagnosed me with an inflamed muscle tissue around the ribs. It was essentially pulling my ribs apart. Incredible Hulk is Incredible!!!

I saw the Incredible Hulk on the weekend, what a great film! as both a comic book fan and a movie fan. There was nothing I really didn't like about it. The story is solid and the visuals are phenomenal!!!

I had heard a few reviews where people said that the film was just another hack and smash film. But Edward Norton and Liv Tyler really brought the characters to life. I'd see the film two times... I mean who the hell goes to see a Hulk film and bitches about to much smashing.. that's who the HULK is.. common.. loser they obviously didn't know what they were writing about. Geeeez.

But back to the film... The story follows fairly closely to the Marvel Unlimited Version of the Hulk actually so did Iron Man.. :D

In a visceral act of survival I came into this world... by the point of this post I had already taken my own independent breaths... and was recouping from the ordeal...Today I find myself still curious about the world around me and very excited to see what it will show me next.

Wow! the last few years have really been a blast.. I wonder what the next years will hold for me. I've really come along way.. and at the same time barely started. :D I'd like to take a moment and thank the people who have taken some of their time to visit my site over the years and share in my artwork.

But now what? hmm? indeed.. well I guess I'll have to see.

So, I totally psyched myself out to see The Happening. This movie made the promise of being this like super scary mind twister film like an M Night film is supposed to be... but he totally drops the ball... he sets so many really cool idea's up but doesn't do a great job of following through with it. There was so much he could have done... He resorts to use vulgar visuals and gore... Sorry but you've lost your title as the king of suspense... I want my 20 bucks back.

This is Great for a good laugh... :D

So, I was thinkin' about life and the world and the why of all of it... right away I got to thinkin' about things I was taught growing up... my Family is predominantly Catholic. So I went to a Catholic Elementary school.. and needless to say learned a thing or two about the Bible... which is not to say I'm religious, just that I was taught stuff growing up. In fact the more I learn about stuff the harder I find it to believe in God.. and that's a whole other post... (shudders at the thought of no God.)

So as a result I started pondering about events in the bible.. and the real life equivalents. For example... let there be light.. is an easy one.. the big bang.

The one that came to mind is the garden of Eden... I started to pull it apart... Eden was paradise... and what was paradise.. bliss.. and ignorance is bliss... this brought me to think that paradise was a time when we were still... well monkeys, or primates of some sort... all we worried about was eating sleeping and mating... mmmmm mating... well and the odd predator. So then back to the Bible, you got... the apple.. well the apple is a symbol of knowledge.. so. In learning as much as humans have and becoming more aware. We embraced knowledge or the aforementioned apple. Thus we left Eden or Paradise. Which explains why no one has found it.... it's not a place, it's a state of mind.

So in theory you can reach a personal peace or your own personal Eden.

But these are just my own personal thoughts.

Two thumbs up!!! if I could spawn more thumbs I would.. this film was great!

Robert Downey Jr, played a great Tony Stark. I'm very pleased where he's brought the character and I can't wait to see where they bring the story. They totally planted seeds for a sequal.

And for those of you who haven't seen make sure that you sit through the credits for a cliffhanger scene... all in all it was an awesome film and I'd go see it again... :D

That ending sketch has tony stark checking out a noise in his house and there is a gentle man there that says he's Nick Fury and wants to talk to Tony about the Avengers initiative... well this is awesome except... Nick Fury is played by Samuel L Jackson... and for those who need to know... here's what Nick Fury looks like this.... now being the open minded guy that I am I did some sleuthing and discovered that they recently (within a few years) created the Ultimate Nick fury... who looks like this.. so you can see how Sam could play this character now... it will be interesting to see where it goes.

End of the Weekend...

Well, it's Sunday night and so starts the end of the Weekend.

No zaniness tonight... just watchin' Simpson's and finished updating my
website. Changed the header on the site and the border.. updating some other images. Added a bunch of image to my inspiration wall.

Tomorrow I get to train the new girl. So that'll be fun. Hmmm I think that means going out for lunch!! :D I'll bring one along just in case.

Hmmm what else is new... oh. I had 11 vials of blood taken... at a clinic of course.. but I had to drive up to London each morning this weekend. To the fertility clinic... my wife tells me that Humans are one of the most infertile animals on the planet.. can you believe that..

lol

Well Family guy is on so I'll go watch that...
